SUMMARY

When viewing records on FamilySearch, clicking the "FamilySearch Tools" extension icon will bring up links to the next/previous records. This is particularly useful when browsing census records in order to get records for other family members and neighbours.

The latest version of FamilySearch Tools is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 4,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2015-09-28.

HOW TO INSTALL FamilySearch Tools FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download FamilySearch Tools CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
