LaTeX in Discord

SUMMARY

This addon will render LaTeX formulas in the Discord browser client. To type a formula to render, use $e^x$ for inline or $$e^x$$ for display mode. Note that Discord can be a bit funny with the characters *, _, and \. Adding backslashes \ before those to escape Discord's message formatting functions will fix your messages.

The latest version of LaTeX in Discord is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 1,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2020-08-20.

HOW TO INSTALL LaTeX in Discord FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download LaTeX in Discord CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
