SUMMARY

Extension to make searching Youtube videos faster. Just enter 'Y' and press 'TAB' in the address bar and start searching. Suggested results are shown in the drop down menu . Select 'Show Video' to open the first search result in a new tab or select 'Show Search Results' to open the youtube search result page of the given query.

The SearchYoutube extension was removed from the Chrome Web Store on 2024-07-18. At the time of removal, it had 26 users. The initial version was launched on 2016-07-03.

HOW TO INSTALL SearchYoutube FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download SearchYoutube CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
