SUMMARY

There is no UI, only keyboard shortcuts. Use '<' and '>' buttons (without shift) to speed up or speed down the video, and press 'R' to reset to the default speed. You can change hotkeys in settings. The YouTube Accelerator extension was removed from the Chrome Web Store on 2024-07-18. At the time of removal, it had 349 users. The initial version was launched on 2022-10-30.

HOW TO INSTALL YouTube Accelerator FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download YouTube Accelerator CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
