FLO Player

SUMMARY

I built this extension in an effort to alleviate a frustration I had, and now its available for everyone!

FLO Player code exchanges the default flash player with an HTML5 video player, preventing disruptions in streaming and allowing for alterations of playback speed. If your internet connection isn't the best, this extension was built for you! This will alleviate the irritating buffering times you experience and stops the player from crashing unexpectedly.

[Known unresolved issues]
If a video was published on a year different to the year you did/are doing the subject, it generally will not load (ie. did the subject in 2015, lecture video was from 2014).

The latest version of FLO Player is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 724 active users. The initial version was launched on 2017-02-06.

HOW TO INSTALL FLO Player FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download FLO Player CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
