Beta Watch: Parental Monitoring and Control

SUMMARY

This extension is part of Team Beta's project for CS 4310, Software Engineering I with professor Hank Stalica. It connects to a websocket and requests the blacklist, whitelist, and security level every 15 seconds. Websites specified in the blacklist are always blocked. The extension also saves the blacklist after the browser is closed, so if it fails to connect to the websocket the last known blacklist is enforced. Depending on the security level, websites specified on the whitelist are logged and/or blocked. HOW TO INSTALL Beta Watch: Parental Monitoring and Control FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Beta Watch: Parental Monitoring and Control CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
