Displays a blank screen when you try to access Instagram's explore page!

The page on Chrome will be completely blank and you will need to press the back arrow in order to return to the previous page and continue navigating the Instagram website.

Minimal Instagram is a great extension for those who want to avoid the distractions on the explore page but still keep up with those they follow. You will have access to the home page, your account page, and your messages.

This is a simple Chrome Extension that I built in a couple of days while learning JavaScript.

The Minimal Instagram extension was removed from the Chrome Web Store on 2024-07-18. At the time of removal, it had 31 users. The initial version was launched on 2021-12-29.

HOW TO INSTALL Minimal Instagram FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Minimal Instagram CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
