Search Bias Indicator

SUMMARY

An addition to Google Search with a score of potential political bias of the sources in the search results. The data on political bias is extracted and normalized from:

The score is calculated based on the ranking of each link (first link has an exponentially higher weight) and the size of each link (the larger h3 links get higher weights, too). Looking for more data sources to make it more accurate and less dependent on one site. Open-source project!

HOW TO INSTALL Search Bias Indicator FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Search Bias Indicator CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
