10-Second Focus

SUMMARY

A simple distraction deterrent via a site blocker that is reasonable enough to stick with long-term.

Functionality: Blocks distracting sites then only allows you to re-access them after 10 seconds of mindfulness. With this conscious barrier from mindless behavior, it makes it harder to get off-task but doesn't cut you off completely.

Features: Lightweight design, non-invasive permissions, customizable block list/deterrent timer/unblock period.

The latest version of 10-Second Focus is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 600 active users. The initial version was launched on 2019-02-18.

HOW TO INSTALL 10-Second Focus FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download 10-Second Focus CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
