With this extension, you can browse German websites without having to fully translate the page, so you slowly learn by immersion!

Press shift while hovering over a word to:
- hear a real native German say it
- see the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) equivalent of the word to learn how to pronounce it
- get its definitions in English

It's like having a native German sitting next to you, sounding things out for you! 🤩

You can also search for a specific word by clicking on the extension icon in the top right.

The latest version of German Popup Dictionary is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 134 active users. The initial version was launched on 2024-02-02.

HOW TO INSTALL German Popup Dictionary FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download German Popup Dictionary CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
