TL;DR: This will give you direct link to Google Drive file. I often found my self in situation where I need to embed a screenshot from Google Drive, but the Drive would only give me the website URL where I can view the file not the direct link to it. This is especially usefull for embeding screenshots in pullrequests (github) or chatting (Flowdock, Slack, Skype).

The latest version of Cloud File direct URL is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 396 active users. The initial version was launched on 2017-06-10.

HOW TO INSTALL Cloud File direct URL FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Cloud File direct URL CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
