SUMMARY

Our browser extension adds a "Open in Overleaf" button to the research papers on arxiv.org.

This allows you to access the LaTex source code of the research paper and edit them directly on Overleaf.

How it works:
- You click the "Open in Overleaf" button on the page
- The latex tar file from arxiv.org is sent to an API to convert it into a zip file
- The zip file is sent to overleaf and we redirect the user to the overleaf edit page

The latest version of open-in-overleaf is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 1,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2023-04-12.

HOW TO INSTALL open-in-overleaf FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download open-in-overleaf CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
