PhishGuard

SUMMARY

PhishGuard is a way for you to make sure you know what you're clicking on!

This extension aims to prevent email phishing attacks by telling you where links really lead. The way it works if it detects a clickable link and the location it leads to is somewhere different from what is advertised, it will highlight it red, bold it, and when you hover over the link, it will tell you where it really leads!

Currently, the extension supports both gmail and outlook/hotmail.

The latest version of PhishGuard is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 36 active users. The initial version was launched on 2017-11-05.

HOW TO INSTALL PhishGuard FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download PhishGuard CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
