PlayBuild

SUMMARY

PlayBuild is a in-editor compiler, bundler and package manager for the PlayCanvas editor that adds support for Javascript Modules, TypeScript JSX and all the usual features of modern web tooling. You can use js modules and npm libraries in your PlayCanvas projects and it supports all the regular features of a compiler such such as de-duping, minification and treeshaking and more. It also has preliminary support for JSX and TypeScript.

The latest version of PlayBuild is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 36 active users. The initial version was launched on 2023-01-27.

HOW TO INSTALL PlayBuild FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download PlayBuild CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
