ScanLingua provides Japanese text recognition of selected screen areas with translation, kanji annotation and audio. - Check on subtitles, manga panels or any Japanese text; - Edit recognized text and alter annotations; - Create and export kanji cards to Anki via Anki-connect; - Free and open source. HOW TO INSTALL ScanLingua FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download ScanLingua CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
