Definitions.net is a free multilingual dictionary that provides instant definitions from many respected reference resources such as the Random House College Dictionary, Princeton WordNet, Wiktionary, Webster Dictionary, U.S. National Library of Medicine, DOD Dictionary of Military and Associated Terms and more. To use this extension simply select a word on any web page you're visiting and click on the extension icon. A pop-up window will open with all possible definitions for the selected word. Note: The extension will not work in tabs that were open prior to installation. After installing this extension, either reload your open tabs or restart Chrome.

The latest version of Definitions.net is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 4,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2020-05-20.

HOW TO INSTALL Definitions.net FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Definitions.net CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
