SUMMARY

This extension will attempt to keep your Facebook news feed sorted by the most recent stories. You can set this preference in Facebook, but it does not persist this setting for very long, and you may find that you're suddenly viewing the top stories again (potentially missing recent stories). This extension searches for the presence of a link on the page that indicates whether your news feed is sorted or not, and if not will redirect to the URL that sets the sorting to most recent.

The News Feed Sorter (for Facebook) extension was removed from the Chrome Web Store on 2024-10-19. At the time of removal, it had 126 users. The initial version was launched on 2017-07-09.

HOW TO INSTALL News Feed Sorter (for Facebook) FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download News Feed Sorter (for Facebook) CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
