SUMMARY

Every day NASA uploads a new astronomy picture. Now, with Telescope, you can see it every time you open a new tab. You can click the title to visit NASA's website that contains an explanation of the picture as written by a professional astronomer. Clicking the picture fades everything else to black allowing you to focus in on all of the details.

If there's trouble downloading the picture, a randomly selected picture from the library of bundled images will be loaded instead. They're straight from NASA and high-resolution to boot.

The latest version of Telescope is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 866 active users. The initial version was launched on 2016-01-31.

HOW TO INSTALL Telescope FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Telescope CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
