Whisper Text Reader

SUMMARY

Reads out text from OpenAI Whisper API.

You use your own API Key and select the voice you want to use from the extension popup. Then you just highlight any text you want from the browser, right click it and select "Read this text aloud".

The latest version of Whisper Text Reader is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 41 active users. The initial version was launched on 2024-03-08.

HOW TO INSTALL Whisper Text Reader FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Whisper Text Reader CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
