SUMMARY

UPDATE: until the underlying service provider (AutoSMS) is working again, this extension won't work. Built against the free & cool AutoSMS API, this extension allows you to send SMS text messages for free, without requiring any registration. There are generally no or minimal limits on the number of messages you can send. SMS support limited to carriers (of recipient) listed in the extension. If no carriers listed, SMS service may be down. Unfortunately, this service doesn't offer option to supply a reply number or address for recipient to reply to. But you can put that inside the SMS message if needed. Bear in mind some of your support issues may be specific to the AutoSMS service provider rather than the extension, so then I may not be able to help you in that case. The latest version of AutoSMS is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 295 active users. The initial version was launched on 2017-12-30.

HOW TO INSTALL AutoSMS FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download AutoSMS CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
