SUMMARY

This extension does not act like a normal adblocker extension. It just detects and removes sponsored posts that Facebook inserts between your actual posts. The extension does not have a network observer hence it is much faster than a normal adblocker extension. Basically, it only observes post creation and detects the "sponsored" keyword and remove the post with this keyword. That's it! Notes: 1. There is no user interface for this extension. 2. To disable the extension go to the extension manager of your browser and press the disable button. Note that you will need to refresh Facebook pages too.

The Adblocker for Facebook™ (sponsored posts) extension was removed from the Chrome Web Store on 2024-07-18. At the time of removal, it had 232 users. The initial version was launched on 2019-10-28.

HOW TO INSTALL Adblocker for Facebook™ (sponsored posts) FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Adblocker for Facebook™ (sponsored posts) CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
