SUMMARY

This extension basically automates two things for you, so you can save yourselves a few seconds of time and avoid mundane tasks: 1. Auto-skips those 5 second ads on YouTube: YouTube usually plays ads before the videos, and these ads have a countdown timer of around 5 seconds before the ad can be skipped using the "Skip Ad" button, which only appears after few seconds. This extension tries to skip the ad immediately and automatically for you, even before the ad countdown timer ends. This works when the ad is a "skippable" ad. 2. Dismisses those annoying overlay ads that appear over the video at the bottom, with a remarkably small button to close them.

The latest version of YT Skip Ads is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 36 active users. The initial version was launched on 2021-09-14.

HOW TO INSTALL YT Skip Ads FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download YT Skip Ads CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
