Office redirector

SUMMARY

Allows office files to be opened directly from the web or older SharePoint versions by changing links to URI format. (SharePoint 2016 does this automatically).

Supports:
Powerpoint files (.ppt, .pptx, .pptm)
Word files (.doc, .docx)
Excel files (.xls, .xlsx)
Visio files (.vsd, .vsdx, .vsdm)

How to use:
After plugin is installed, you'll need to add your legacy sharepoint site urls to the list of sites by clicking on a plugin icon.

The latest version of Office redirector is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 530 active users. The initial version was launched on 2018-11-22.

HOW TO INSTALL Office redirector FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Office redirector CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
