Open with VLC

SUMMARY

Open websites with VLC. You must install the vlc:// protocol handler as well: https://github.com/stefansundin/vlc-protocol

You should use this together with VLC playlist parsers, e.g: https://addons.videolan.org/p/1167220/

Please do not use it if you don't understand the above.

You can right-click on links, iframes, and audio/video elements, and use the "Open with VLC" menu item.

The latest version of Open with VLC is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 10,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2018-05-25.

HOW TO INSTALL Open with VLC FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Open with VLC CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
