This is technically true, however it doesn't. It needs the permission to clean the cache for twitter after installing. GoodTwitter does NOT collect any information about you, it does NOT use any analytics at all. HOW TO INSTALL GoodTwitter FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download GoodTwitter CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
