Multi Purpose Extension

SUMMARY

MPE extension is provided in french but also in english, german and spanish. It aggregates some classical functionalities in only one simple and light extension. Each module is independant and may be deactivated :

- management of browser through mouse moves,
- replacement of "newtab" page (in standard or in private mode),
- access to chrome parameters pages (downloads, history, flags, ...),
- access to all levels of current url,
- display and access to all links of current tab,
- display a quick view of history or downloads directly in the popup,
- launch a search creating as many tabs as search engines,
- management of a todo list,
- management of a reading list of url,
- management of sessions (a set of tabs stored and opened together),
- management of opened tabs (direct access to or close a tab),
- deletion of last minutes of history (a new call will suppress twice more and so on)
- activate/deactivate other rarely used extensions (to avoid systematically their loading)

The extension is enterily parameterized and a french documentation is available online with screenshots. For other users, an english PDF documentation is available on the website.

The latest version of Multi Purpose Extension is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 74 active users. The initial version was launched on 2020-06-20.

HOW TO INSTALL Multi Purpose Extension FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Multi Purpose Extension CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
