HNDN is a chrome extension that brings you latest top/new stories from Hacker News as soon as they arrive. You can choose 8 different notification sounds and set auto-clear timing.

If the extension does not run in the background automatically, go to Settings-> Show advanced settings -> System -> Tick: 'Continue running background apps when Google Chrome [or chromium] is closed'.

The latest version of HNDN is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 5 active users. The initial version was launched on 2015-06-17.

HOW TO INSTALL HNDN FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download HNDN CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
