SUMMARY

IP2Location IP Geolocation is an extension to get information about the geographical location of the web server based on the IP address of the URL links in web pages. You can prevent phishing activities by know more about the servers information. It is easy to use as you can now see the information on the same page in a nicely formatted box. See information like the IP address, country, state, city, ISP, latitude, longitude as well as the server time.

To use this extension, you just put your mouse over a link and a tiny icon will appear, click on that icon to retrieve information for that URL.

In the information box that appears, you also have access to 3 useful features under [More Tools]; these are the ability to ping that IP address, perform traceroute or view that URL from our proxies which are located around the globe.

The latest version of IP2Location IP Geolocation Extension is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 625 active users. The initial version was launched on 2020-06-18.

HOW TO INSTALL IP2Location IP Geolocation Extension FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download IP2Location IP Geolocation Extension CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
