Any time you open a new tab, you’ll see a quote from an interview on The Creative Independent. It’s a good way to remember TCI exists as you go about your browsing rituals.

This new tab Chrome extension can be run completely offline. When you go back online, it will pull new quotes from TCI. Our Chrome extension will never track your browsing history or collect any data about you. It’s also completely open source.

The latest version of The Creative Independent’s Extension is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 1,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2019-10-30.

HOW TO INSTALL The Creative Independent’s Extension FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download The Creative Independent’s Extension CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
