SUMMARY

With a click of a mouse, the extension uses web.archive.org's internet archiving Wayback Machine to view the current website you're on in the year and month you specify.

If the website you're viewing wasn't crawled by the machine at the specified month or year, it takes you to the nearest crawled version and opens it in a new tab.

The latest version of WaybackMachine is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 4,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2016-03-18.

HOW TO INSTALL WaybackMachine FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download WaybackMachine CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
