Whenever you’re writing more than a little snippet of code anywhere on the web, activate GhostText to open your preferred text editor and enjoy your own development environment. GhostText is a browser extension that connects to your editor via its own extension. Install both extensions and, if necessary, start the GhostText server in the editor’s extension. The latest version of GhostText is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 6,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2017-12-11.

HOW TO INSTALL GhostText FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download GhostText CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
