SUMMARY

Captures the audio playing in a tab and sends it to audio recognition services. Currently these services are supported: audD - No account required. 10 requests free per day. ACRCloud - Requires an account but there is a free plan. AudioTag - Requires an account but there is a free plan.

The latest version of Chromesthesia is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 4,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2019-11-03.

HOW TO INSTALL Chromesthesia FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Chromesthesia CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
