SUMMARY

The "Metadata Viewer" extension allows you to read metadata headers in image, audio, video, and PDF files. It utilizes the ExifTool library by Phil Harvey to read metadata information in the file header of a wide range of file formats. The extension runs on an isolated window. It can read many metadata including EXIF, and ID3. Features: Recognizes thousands of different tags Reads maker notes on many digital cameras Reads timed metadata (e.g. GPS track) from videos Reads structured XMP information. The latest version of Exif Metadata Viewer is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 1,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2023-01-23.

HOW TO INSTALL Exif Metadata Viewer FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Exif Metadata Viewer CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
