SUMMARY

This extension removals all YouTube shorts from the YouTube desktop and mobile sites.

This is a simple implementation that uses no scripting and is only activated while on YouTube.

- Updated mobile shorts section detection

The YouTube Shorts Remover extension was removed from the Chrome Web Store on 2024-10-19. At the time of removal, it had 7 users. The initial version was launched on 2024-01-13.

HOW TO INSTALL YouTube Shorts Remover FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download YouTube Shorts Remover CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
