SUMMARY

Adding this extension creates icons in Gitlab next to the built-in "Copy File Path" icon that, when clicked, will open that file in your editor.

For any project in Gitlab, you specify the location on your computer where that project has been cloned. You also specify the project's name. This extension will add a link for Visual Studio Code, Emacs, and/or JetBrains Rider to open the file shown in a diff in your editor at the line displayed.

Visual Studio Code will work out of the box. Emacs requires the installation of Emacs URL Handler on macOS. (https://github.com/typester/emacs-handler). Rider requires the JetBrains Toolbox (https://www.jetbrains.com/toolbox-app/) and for Rider to have been installed via the Toolbox
