Cacao CORS Proxy

SUMMARY

The Cacao CORS Proxy Browser Extension intercepts the Fetch API for whitelisted URLs. Find it on GitHub (http://github.com/michaelfig/cacao-extension) The main application of Cacao is to allow Javascript running in a web browser to access cross-origin images (plain, or streams such as MJPEG) without failing due to Cross-Origin restrictions. This is useful for applications such as WebRTC, which may need to process images from neither localhost nor the script's default origin.

The latest version of Cacao CORS Proxy is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 193 active users. The initial version was launched on 2019-01-05.

HOW TO INSTALL Cacao CORS Proxy FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Cacao CORS Proxy CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
