SUMMARY

Chrome extension that relays your Google Meet status (in meeting or not) to Home Assistant so you can build your own DIY "On Air" light or other automations. It works by detecting whether you have any active meetings open in any Chrome tabs, and then toggles an Input Boolean in Home Assistant accordingly which you can use to create automations from. The Google Meet <=> Home Assistant extension was removed from the Chrome Web Store on 2024-07-18. At the time of removal, it had 634 users. The initial version was launched on 2023-04-18.

HOW TO INSTALL Google Meet <=> Home Assistant FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Google Meet <=> Home Assistant CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
