Pinboard.in 'Save a Bookmark' button

SUMMARY

A very simple single purpose Pinboard ( http://pinboard.in ) extension: it adds an action button next to your address bar and when you click it the normal Pinboard "Save a Bookmark" page (as used in the bookmarklet) will appear in a popup with the current webpage URL and title pre-filled, as well as any text you may have selected for the description field. You can modify any fields, add tags and when saving the bookmark the popup will disappear automatically. I wrote this small plugin since every other Pinboard extension at the time was trying to do more than just allow creating a new bookmark and I wanted to have as little clicks as possible. Requires access to all pages in order to support the "use current selection as description" feature. The latest version of Pinboard.in 'Save a Bookmark' button is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 190 active users. The initial version was launched on 2013-06-28.

HOW TO INSTALL Pinboard.in 'Save a Bookmark' button FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Pinboard.in 'Save a Bookmark' button CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
