PeerTubeify

SUMMARY

PeerTubeify allows to redirect between YouTube and PeerTube and across PeerTube instances, automatically or by displaying a link. If you choose to automatically redirect from YouTube to PeerTube, it uses Invidious (https://invidio.us/) to get the video information without making any requests to YouTube from your browser, for added privacy. It uses PeerTube API v1 to search the network (you can choose the instance used for the search). For now, it simply searches for a video with the same title. Don't forget to set your preferences :) PeerTubeify is not affiliated with PeerTube. Code and issues are hosted on GitLab.

The latest version of PeerTubeify is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 193 active users. The initial version was launched on 2019-03-08.

HOW TO INSTALL PeerTubeify FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download PeerTubeify CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
