Parallel as-you-browse pronunciation hints for Chinese, covering Mandarin (Pinyin), Cantonese (Yale, Sidney Lau or Jyutping) or Teochew, with word grouping, optional brief English as third line (also popups), fast open-source local processing and context-based handling of ambiguous readings. This is a port of the Android apps Pinyin Web & EPUB, Cantonese Web & EPUB and Teochew Web & EPUB.

The latest version of Pinyin Web is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 403 active users. The initial version was launched on 2021-05-08.

HOW TO INSTALL Pinyin Web FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Pinyin Web CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
