StoryTracer

SUMMARY

StoryTracer identifies the source information that web pages are based upon. When you navigate to a webpage with Story Tracer added to Chrome, StoryTracer will try to identify the source behind the webpage by looking at the links on the page. If a likely source is identified, a popup will appear indicating that the page you are on might be based on content from another page. StoryTracer uses the ground-truth node library.

The latest version of StoryTracer is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 104 active users. The initial version was launched on 2017-11-05.

HOW TO INSTALL StoryTracer FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download StoryTracer CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
