Word Counter Plus

SUMMARY

Word Counter Plus is a simple and useful tool that lets you views stats on selected text. Simply highlight some text on a webpage, right click on it, and select the Word Counter Plus menu item. It will tell you the number of words and characters selected as well as the average and longest word length. Unlike similar word counting extensions, this one does not open an external webpage just to do the counting, nor does it require any permissions.

The latest version of Word Counter Plus is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 100,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2018-07-21.

HOW TO INSTALL Word Counter Plus FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Word Counter Plus CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
