SUMMARY

Adds the link previews back to X/Twitter posts. All requests are done with Fetch API (to t.co that twitter provides and follows the redirect to the final destination, scraping the opengraph data) and cached in local browser store.

- Updated to work with politico links (ow.ly is http only, added permission for http links)

The latest version of Return X/Twitter Link Previews is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 115 active users. The initial version was launched on 2023-10-08.

HOW TO INSTALL Return X/Twitter Link Previews FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Return X/Twitter Link Previews CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
