This extension is meant to change that. Moreover, it also has key binding to skip video ads with a single click. And there is more, it does not require any access permissions from your browsers, so you can be calm, it is not going to snoop on your browsing activity.

HOW TO INSTALL Video Playback Speedup FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Video Playback Speedup CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
