AuthentiSci is a science news verification tool. It allows users to view scores and comments relating to the validity of online media articles. Reviews are provided by scientists through our website or through the browser extension.

We aim to give scientists the opportunity to guide readers on the quality of the evidence, the clarity and the extent of bias in media articles to reduce misconceptions around scientific discoveries.

The latest version of AuthentiSci is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 118 active users. The initial version was launched on 2020-06-30.

HOW TO INSTALL AuthentiSci FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download AuthentiSci CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
