SUMMARY

Designed specifically for touch-screen tablets and laptops with trackpads (which don't have a right-click mouse button). It works similar to the "open link in new tab" option in the popup menu when you right-click on a link, but this method is faster, because right-clicking is a slow process without an external mouse. No longer will you have to hold down the button and wait for the popup menu, or perform complex mouse gestures to accomplish this seemingly common task. Just double tap or double click on the link to open it in a new tab. In the settings window you can change whether (1) tabs open at front; (2) tabs open next to current tab; (3) blacklist certain websites.

The latest version of Tap To Tab is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 7,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2020-05-09.

HOW TO INSTALL Tap To Tab FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Tap To Tab CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
