Nice Downloads!

SUMMARY

Nice Downloads! makes downloading on Chrome pretty nice.

It automatically shows and hides Chrome's download shelf when starting a new download, and notifies you when one completes.

It also features a toolbar button that will popup the downloads screen, and the icon changes colour when you have active downloads.

If a download is interrupted by Chrome, the shelf will remain open until you interact with it.

This extension does not contain a persistent background process, and has minimal permissions! That's nice, isn't it?

The latest version of Nice Downloads! is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 1,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2016-04-03.

HOW TO INSTALL Nice Downloads! FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Nice Downloads! CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
