SUMMARY

This small extension converts all external links to be opened in a new tab. This simple, but useful functionality was inspired by some famous collaboration web sites where by default external links are opened in the same window and it cannot be changed.

The latest version of Opens external links in a new tab is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 1,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2015-08-21.

HOW TO INSTALL Opens external links in a new tab FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Opens external links in a new tab CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
