Youtube Minimalist

SUMMARY

There are many annoying elements that can hamper your experience while browsing youtube, or simply detract your focus from your goal: watching videos!. This extension will give you options to remove the worst to make for a more minimalist experience.

Currently, this extension gives you settings to enable or disable these elements on youtube:
- The Logo and other icons from being visible
- Ads
- Search Result Distractions: Anything not a video in the search results
- Comment Section Link (Don't want to be accidentally clicking on viruses)
- Category Suggestions on the homepage
- Youtube Posts in search results
- Like buttons (Dislikes are gone, why not likes)
- End of video suggestion popups (I already know what I want to watch, thanks algorithm!)
- Turn shorts into regular video format from TikTok format

The latest version of Youtube Minimalist is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 82 active users. The initial version was launched on 2023-01-03.

HOW TO INSTALL Youtube Minimalist FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Youtube Minimalist CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
