MySearch

SUMMARY

MySearch provides full-text searching ability on Google Chrome History. When a user visits a site and can only remember certain phrases and words within the site, they cannot use the in-built Chrome history to search for the content because Chrome history does not provide a full-text search functionality. This application solves that problem by only storing and indexing publicly-available links, and providing users with a way to perform full-text searches on their history.

The latest version of MySearch is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 61 active users. The initial version was launched on 2023-01-29.

HOW TO INSTALL MySearch FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download MySearch CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
